You will visit the northern districts of the city of Buenos Aires by bike. You will discover Plaza San Martin, the aristocratic districts of Recoleta and Barrio Parque, the parks of Palermo and Rosedal, and the Congreso of Buenos Aires.

The first stop is Plaza San Martín. If you close your eyes, you can imagine this place in colonial Buenos Aires 200 years ago. It is here where the inhabitants of Buenos Aires defended themselves during the famous English invasions. In addition, this is where General San Martín, the greatest hero in national history, prepared his grenadiers for the battles of Independence.

You are already in the heart of the Retiro neighborhood, and when you look up, you will find that this green park is surrounded by architectural pearls. One of them is the famous Kavanagh building, which was the arrowhead of modern architecture in Argentina.

The tour continues along Avenida del Libertador, which was once the city’s first coastal walk, along with the Río de la Plata. Today it is a very long, elegant, and tree-lined avenue. After a few minutes, you arrive at the Recoleta district: you will discover the history of the most elegant area of the city and its first inhabitants, the mysterious ”Recollect monks”. Where their old farm used to be, it is today one of the most famous cemeteries in the world, home to the great bourgeois families of the country, most of the presidents of the Republic, and even the emblematic ”Evita” Perón. The Recoleta Cemetery invites you to take a short walk, and you will no doubt be amazed at the diversity of the funerary architecture, stained glass windows, and statues.

You pick up your bike again to discover the Parque 3 de Febrero, also known as the ”parks of Palermo”. The park, with its green and its lagoon, is one of the most beautiful places in Buenos Aires, it is the green heart of the city. You can take a walk in the Rosedal, a garden that, as its name implies, is covered with an immense variety of roses.

On the way back, you will cross Barrio Norte, Palermo, and the city center, where the road becomes interurban. The night slowly arrives: the landscapes, activities, and aromas change.

The last stop is in the Plaza del Congreso. From here you can see the imposing building that houses the Chamber of Deputies and the Senator.
